Ai2 swaps its GPU scheduler for budgets, cutting debug-job waits from 2 hours to 30 seconds

Ai2 says demand ran 2-3x above its GPU supply, so it replaced priority scheduling with team budgets and fair-share over a 7-day window. In a 30-day test, teams got 98% of owed GPU hours, debug-job p90 queue wait fell from 2 hours to 30 seconds, and human-in-the-loop repairs dropped 74%. Figures are Ai2's own.
