Anthropic: Claude designed protein binders against scorpion neurotoxins

Anthropic says Claude ran a roughly 64-hour, mostly autonomous campaign designing minibinders against five scorpion toxins. Of 211 designs tested, 17 met the binder criteria, the best at single-digit nanomolar affinity. Binding was shown only on recombinant toxins, with no neutralization tests. Anthropic says it has not produced an antivenom and released all 211 designs.
