Anthropic: Claude helped solve first 3D structure of a bacterial vault particle
Anthropic says Claude helped a team determine the first 3D structure of a vault particle from prokaryotes, built from bacteriophage protein L05: 96 protein copies versus 78 in human vaults, about 9.5 megadaltons. Anthropic says Claude cut purification from about 3 days to 90 minutes. Vault function is still unknown. Anthropic also notes setbacks from Claude's errors.
