Anthropic donates the Agent Skills standard to the Agentic AI Foundation

Anthropic said Oct. 22 it is donating Agent Skills, the open standard for giving agents specialized knowledge and workflows, to the Linux Foundation's Agentic AI Foundation, along with the name, logo, GitHub organization and agentskills.io. Anthropic says more than 70 agent platforms have integrated it and about 280 million skills have been installed. The announcement states no license.
