Anthropic guidance: start with one agent loop, fold subagents back in
Anthropic published guidance on Oct. 22 saying newer models often do better in a single agent loop than a multi-agent setup. One customer saw about 2x faster runtime. Anthropic cut Claude Code's system prompt by over 80%, says tool choice degrades past 30 to 50 tool definitions, and released a migration kit on GitHub.
