Anthropic updates usage policy: bans election interference, sustained abuse of Claude

Anthropic published a revised Usage Policy on Oct. 8, effective Nov. 12. It adds a deceptive-campaigns section, narrows the elections rules, bars tracking people without consent and software that makes weapons work, and prohibits sustained, needless abuse of its models in extreme cases only.
