Biohub, DOE and NIH commit $1.8B to biology data for AI, with Google DeepMind and Meta adding $300M

The Virtual Biology Initiative totals $1.8B over five years: $500M from Biohub, $500M from the Department of Energy, and $300M combined from Google DeepMind, Isomorphic Labs and Meta. NIH is contributing datasets from $500M+ in prior federal spending. NVIDIA supplies computing.
