German court bars Google's AI Mode from repeating false claims about a doctor
The Aachen Regional Court (case 8 O 268/26) issued an injunction against Google Ireland, without a prior hearing, banning AI Mode from making three statements about a named physician, with fines up to €250,000 per violation. The Decoder reports the court relied on a May Munich ruling treating AI answers as Google's own statements. Preliminary order, not final.
