Goodfire researcher argues neural networks are already interpretable
Goodfire's Nick Cammarata published a long blog post, "Neural Networks Are Already Clean," arguing that apparent polysemanticity comes mostly from fixable problems, not superposition, so researchers can study networks directly. It is not peer reviewed. MIT Technology Review reports Stanford's Chris Potts calls it a hunch and Google DeepMind's Neel Nanda sees no major shift.
