Google opens SynthID Detector globally to check images, video and audio

SynthID Detector is available globally in English from Oct. 7, after a limited release to media professionals. It reads watermarks from Google and partners including OpenAI, NVIDIA and Kakao, with Apple listed as coming. Google says 180 billion images and videos are watermarked and it handles 1M+ daily checks.
