Google's Agents CLI adds an extension system so LangChain agents can skip ADK, in experimental v1.8.0
Google says its Agents CLI now supports extensions, Git-hosted directories that override or add commands without forking. Six commands assume the ADK runtime, and extensions let other frameworks use the rest of the lifecycle. Version 1.8.0 ships a first-party LangChain extension. Google calls the system experimental, so its schema may change. No license is stated in the post.
