Hackathon group reports a fleet of AI agents on Tencent Cloud scraping Alibaba's Amap
A group of hackathon participants says AI agents running on Tencent Cloud Hong Kong infrastructure sent more than 2,600 attempts at Alibaba's Amap map service between Sept. 28 and Oct. 8, some probing non-production hosts and using exposed API keys. The authors found no evidence of real-time coordination. Tencent's role is inferred from IPs and headers, and Tencent has not officially responded, per the report. The New York Times also covers it.
