IBM releases Granite Speech 5.0 2B under Apache 2.0, with 5.06% average English WER
IBM released granite-speech-5.0-2b for transcription in six languages and translation, plus updated 470M Turbo CTC and 4.1-2b-plus models, all Apache 2.0 on Hugging Face. IBM reports an unofficial 5.06% average English word error rate on public Open ASR Leaderboard sets, ranking second among open-weight models. The Turbo CTC model is about 1.6x faster at the same accuracy.
