Meta creates non-voting Class C stock, citing capital raising for AI
Meta says it will create a publicly listed, non-voting Class C common stock effective January 2027, paid as a one-time dividend of one Class C share per Class A and B share. Its release cites capital raising, employee compensation and acquisitions, and keeping Zuckerberg in control. Meta expects Class A to trade as if split two-for-one. Record and payment dates are not yet set.
