Meta delays new business terms to Nov. 20 after publisher pushback on AI scraping
Meta is moving the effective date of its updated Commercial Terms and Self-Serve Ad Terms from Oct. 30 to Nov. 20, a spokesperson told Reuters and Fast Company, per Engadget. A draft let Meta scrape business accounts' content; Meta dropped the AI-training reference after objections. The News Media Alliance has demanded withdrawal. Meta says it will clarify crawler use and robots.txt.
