Mistral releases Voxtral 3 speech models and a voice agent SDK
Mistral says Voxtral 3 covers speech-to-text from $0.0035 per minute, realtime transcription at $0.008 per minute with sub-500ms latency, and text-to-speech at $13 per million characters. It reports 4.1% WER on FLEURS for Voxtral Small Transcribe 3 vs 16.0% for Whisper large-v3. Benchmarks are Mistral's own. A LiveKit-based voice agent SDK is included.
