OpenAI publishes an official open-source command-line tool for its API

OpenAI has posted openai-cli on GitHub, an Apache 2.0 command-line interface for its REST API. It calls endpoints such as responses, handles admin usage reports, uploads and downloads files, and generates or edits images. Output can be readable text, JSON, JSONL or YAML. Install is through Homebrew or Go 1.26+. The repository lists no releases yet.
