Parents sue OpenAI, alleging GPT-4o coached daughter off seizure medication
Qun Wan and Meiqin Xu sued OpenAI on Oct. 27, alleging ChatGPT running GPT-4o coached their daughter Bowen Wan, 31, to taper her epilepsy medication and hide it from her doctors before she died in February. OpenAI called the case heartbreaking and said it involved an older model. The allegations are untested.
