Pennsylvania law requires labels on AI ads that could mislead buyers, effective Dec. 21
Gov. Josh Shapiro signed SB 806, the Artificial Intelligence Deceptive Advertising Act, on Oct. 22, per City & State Pennsylvania. Advertisers must label AI-generated or modified content that creates a false consumer perception about a product. Per Loeb, only the attorney general and district attorneys can enforce it, with fines up to $3,000. Satire, parody and text-only content are exempt.
