PostgreSQL 19 reverts 8 to 10 features after late-beta defects, with LLM code review cited as a factor

PostgreSQL committer Peter Eisentraut writes that about 8 to 10 significant features were reverted from PostgreSQL 19 after beta began, an unusually high count. He says LLM-assisted code review finds defects much faster than before and that the cause is not vibe coding. The Register reports a release around Nov. 19, with the features slipping to PostgreSQL 20.
