QGIS adopts a strict ban on AI-assisted code contributions
The QGIS project merged a proposal on Oct. 7 that changes its AI policy to "NOT ALLOWED." The policy text says no LLM, AI or agent assisted code contributions are allowed in the qgis/qgis repository, and violations can lead to reverted code and sanctions. The author cites maintainer review burden and calls it a restrictive first step, not permanent.
