Study: Grok API backed Republicans 92% of the time, GPT backed Democrats 97%
Per TechCrunch, Convovo asked Grok 4.7 and GPT-6.1 Sol through their APIs to name one candidate in nearly 500 US midterm races. Grok picked the Republican in 92% of answers, GPT the Democrat in 97%. Consumer apps refused to answer. OpenAI says the test used a developer API with a demanding prompt; xAI did not respond. The report calls its hidden-instruction theory speculative.
