Google makes Gemini and Search off by default for K-12 student accounts, adds Guided Learning

Google said Nov. 3 that Gemini, Gemini Notebook, Gemini in Classroom and Google Search will be entirely off for K-12 student accounts until school administrators turn them on. Guided Learning in Classroom is available worldwide now; a Guided Learning pilot in Search starts later this month in select US schools. Coverage is now 30 outlets, including AP, CNN, WSJ and NYT.
