Walmart opens its site to shopping AI agents, with spending limits and a gateway

Walmart said Oct. 21 that AI agents can shop Walmart and Sam's Club for customers through separate Agent Profiles, where shoppers can require approval or set a spending limit. A Walmart Agent Gateway opens in beta for companies and developers. Walmart's terms bar agents from receiving card details and block violators. Profiles arrive within a month.
